About Porto

a few facts...

World heritage of UNESCO (1996), European Traveller’s Choice (2012), European Best Destination (2014).

A city of very ancient human history and presence in the margins of Douro river, in its roman designation – “Portus Cale” – we find the origins of the name Portugal.

From the emblematic historical centre from Ribeira to Aliados, from the cosmopolitism of Boavista, Foz do Douro or Antas, to the famous wine cellars of Port Wine in Vila Nova de Gaia, let yourself be enchanted by the originality and richness of a unique historical and scenic heritage...

Public transportation

Considering where the Faculty of Arts is located within Porto map, we suggest as the main transportation buses, metro and taxis.
